Hurricanes

Hurricanes are one of the worlds most dangerous natural disasters. Hurricanes have tortured the US southern coast forever. In the past few years there has been many hurricanes, such as Katrina in 2005 and Gustav Hanna and Ike in 2008. These three hurricanes devistated the US. Recently, Ike struck Galveston, Texas tears houses right from the ground and leaving families homless.

When I see pictures of the aftermath of hurricanes I am happy I don't live in that area. But also I feel bad for the people that lost everything. I feel espcially bad for the people who rebuild everything then 2 to 3 years later lose it all again. You can't really stop a hurricane you can only prepare for it. Many do but for the ones who think they and wait out a category 4 hurricane just need to get out. Its better to lose your house than your life.
